To my understanding, the first Volll landed in Batavia around 1797 as a single man, later he was assigned to Makassar. His first wife was a BUGIS lady. I supposed if each and every Voll with Makassar origination geneolagy is tested, each one will have some Bugis gene, no matter how blond or dark complexion, he or she inherits. Thank you.
